回答：If your customer didn't delete the hidden folder Windows\ie8, he/she would uninstall IE 8 from Control Panel－Add/Remove Softwares directly. The Uninstall Program of IE 8 could be found here.
After uninstalltion and Windows is restarted, the version of IE will rollback to IE 7.

If you can find Windows\ie8, please run "Windows\ie8\spuninst\spuninst.exe". This is the uninstall program of IE 8, same as the uninstall option in Add/Remove.
But if Windows\ie8 dose not exist, you cannot uninstall IE 8 in any way. In this situation, you have to repair your Windows XP Installtion from the Setup CD/DVD, in order to recover IE 6. But after this, all installed Service Pack and Updates must be reinstalled.
